Carta Bella Paper - Paris

Tim Holtz Ink Applicator
Accoutrements Buttons from Tim Holtz Idea-ology
Springtime Twinkling H2o's

Here is a closer view of my canvas:

Here is how I created my flower:
I cut my flower pattern out of old lace. After it was cut I used the Twinkling H20's and Viva Silk Acrylic paint. The petals were colored first with the Twinkling H20's for the final touch I used the Silk paint to give the dark shadowing on the tips of the flower. After it was colored and each petal was dried I painted the with Claudine Hellmuth Studio Multi-Media Matte. Let flower dry completely. Then put the flower together around a 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" circle. Choose a center for your flower and you are done.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous week.

Love is in the Air

Happy Friday,

I hope everyone had a great week! Well the rains finally stopped. Unfortunately, many of the roads did not fair well and they were just repaired last year from our torrential rains.  Today is sunny and hot. Just the way I like it.

I am so excited I was chosen to be a guest designer at the end of this month at Simply Magnolia!

Today I would like to share a new image from Magnolia Precious Moments. I colored my images with Copic Markers, use spica pens to highlight the couples hairs and the vines from the flowers, and I added glitter to Tilda's dress and the top of her veil. To create a vintage look I used brownish greys on Edwin's tux and I used the periwinkle blue to match the paper from the Precious Moments collection.

I created my lace flowers by using the Doily Flowers and Vintage Daisy. I took lace and painted it with a matte medium. Once it was dry, I used my dies to create the flowers. I added some pearl bling to the center of each flower.

Here is a close up of the happy couple:

Below I have listed the products I used:
Vintage Bridal Couple and Royal Wedding Fence
Copic Markers
Spica Pens
Fine Glitter

Sand Castles

Good Morning,

Last night we had some heavy rains and this morning we a ruts that were a foot deep. Part of our rode is washed away. Our damage was minor compared to other areas around us. I sure hope we have a break from the rain. We had about an inch a day for nine days.

Happy Birthday, one day late to Karen!

On to my card. I chose this sweet image from Elisabeth Bell. I love the ocean so this image was perfect. I colored her with Copic Markers and spic pens. I added Viva Sand Effects to the sand castles. If you haven't used their products you should check them out. All the edges of my paper were distressed and then I added a few embellishments to finish my design.
