Tilda and Edwin hit the Beach

Hello,

I don't know about you but I am ready for beach weather. That is what inspired me to make this scene with Edwin in Miami and Tilda in Key Largo. I colored my images with Copic Markers and paper pieced Edwin's shirt and Tilda's dress. You can purchase Edwin over at the Magnolia Licious Store.

Fran tage was used to give the effect of water and sand. I used stencils with Viva Blending Cream and then went over them with alcohol inks. I use a very thin like tissue paper which kind of resembled sand and matching paper to collage my canvas. The seashells are some that I have collected when I visited my son. The palm tree was chip board. I painted the trunk with Twinkling H2O's and the leaves I used Inka Old Silver and Green/Yellow. For the final effect I sprayed the tree with Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist.

The paper is from Authentique as is all the sentiments. Corner pieces and the star are Melissa Francis. I added netting, ribbon and the sun (which I added fine glitter to) to finish my design.

Here is a close up of Edwin:

Shabby Chic Altered Canvas

Welcome to another great challenge over at 7 Kids College Fund. This week is embellishments.

So get out you embellishments and create a card or a project. I created an altered canvas. It took me quite awhile to see how I wanted it laid out. I painted the canvas with acrylic paint after it was dry I stenciled the bird cage, the leaves and tree branch and the honey comb design. I used Viva Decor modeling cream after it was dry I used alcohol ink to add color to my design. I stamped the two butterflies and used fran tage on the two other butterflies. The fran tage was used on the tag and inside the picture frame. The ribbon is recycled from a box of candy. To complete my canvas I used bling, flowers, feathers, frilly trim and a wooden bird. The flower in the bottom right I used Viva Decor Inka Gold. The product is great. You get a beautiful color with a little shimmer. I hope I inspired  you today.

Fishing Anyone?

Happy Wednesday Inky Fans,

Today I would like to share a birthday card I made my son. I used the rubber stamp Christopher Fishing. It was perfect since my son's name is Christopher. The challenge this week over at Inky Impressions is distress it. I used Tim Holtz distress ink on the edges of all my paper, the twine looks a little distress and the green jute seemed perfect to finish my design. I colored my image with Copic Marker. You can purchase this cutie over at Inky Impressions Store. I can't wait to see what you create.
