Edwin Goes to Ireland

Oh New England weather! We are experiencing a nice little snow storm; when it is all said and done 6 to 10 inches..Ugh! I shouldn't complain we really have any significant snow since October. But I want spring.

I made another St. Patty's decoration this time I used Edwin. The design is very simple. The clover is covered with some paper I picked up at Michaels.

I chose Edwin with the Butterfly. I removed the butterfly and added a shamrock. I colored him with Copic markers E000, E00, E11, E25, E31, E41, E42, E43, E50, R01, G21, G40, W00, and W1. I messed up his shirt so I stamped the shirt on the clay paper and wha la good as new. Creme de Chocolate Glimmer Mist was used to color the luggage. For the details on the luggage I used Copics and glitter pens. I found a map of Ireland online which I have used as part of the background. I used the Memory Box Elegant Scrollwork Die. To finish the project I used a muse token from Tim Holtz (Tradition) and added the checkered ribbon.

Tilda Celebrates St. Patty's Day

Hello Magnolia Fans,

I am not big on celebrating St. Patty's Day however, my mom does and my son why he thinks he is Irish. Last week when I was in Michaels I found this clover book and decided to make a couple of decorations for my mom and son. I finished my mom's today.

I used Summer Tilda with Hat and she became Tilda St. Patty's style. I colored her with Copic Markers E000, E00, E11, E41, E42, E43, E25, E31, E50, G21, G26, G40, R20, W00, and W01. I added some yellow glitter pen to the hearts on her dress and bow then added a little green bling as the buttons on her top (this was my husband's suggestion).

The background paper I bought at Michaels and the other paper was from my stash. I sprayed the doily with Forest Green Glimmer Mist. I absolutely love Elegant Scrollwork die from Memory Box which I used to embellish the ornament. The pot of gold and the shamrock are embellishments from Jolee's Boutique.

Here is a close up of Tilda.

On the back I used my Cricut and cut out the letters for "Happy St. Patty's Day!". I finished with a green bow to hang the decoration.

Let me know what you think! Thanks as always for stopping by with your encouragement and "sweet" comments.

Spring Fling Invite

Well the weather here today has been quite eventful. Snow, rain, sleet, ice and now snow!Yikes and yesterday it was 50 degrees. It hasn't stopped me from crafting.

Today I made a spring invitation from Tilda to Edwin. I found these cool postcards on Monday when I went shopping. I used Tilda as a butterfly;she was colored with Copic Markers B63, B66, B69, E000, E00, E11, E31, E35, YR20, G21, G40, G00, C01, and C03. I added silver glitter pen to her cap and wings.

The Viola paper and polka dot paper is from Memory Box. I used my new Memory Box Dies Woodrow Rosette and Elegant Scrollwork. The sentiment "You're Invited" was placed in the upper corner.

On the back for the postcard; I used stamp that is a stamp. Used Copics to color the butterflies. Lastly, I hand wrote the invitation to Edwin. Here is a view of the back of the card.

Let me know if you think Edwin will accept Tilda's invitation. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

It was so nice to have a long weekend! It was sunny and beautiful for the middle of February. I was able to shop, craft and spend quality time with my wonderful husband.
How was your weekend?

Here is a card I created for the Magnolia-licious Challenge -Blue and Brown. I decided to create a Mother's Day Card. It is a little early but I thought I would get a head start.

I used Tilda with Rubber Boots. I colored her with Copic markers E000, E00, E11, E41, E42, E43, E25, E31, E50, B91, B93, and B95. The polka dot paper is from Memory Box and the paper showing through the window, window box and flowers is from Bo Bunny. I inked all the edges with Distress Ink- Tattered Twigs. To embellish the card I used a muse token from Tim Holtz, add blue & brown pearl bling, twine and light blue ribbon. After some inspiration from Julie Price I added polka dots to Tilda's dress and bow.

The dies are from Poppy Stamps. I used the Small Madison Window, Small Flower Box, Ivy Tendrils, and Wildflower Patch.

Here is a close-up and the inside of the card.

Japenese Tilda a Tag

Happy Sunday,

I hope you are all having a great weekend! I sure am... I did some virtual shopping plus my friends did a little for me too. Can't wait to get my new dies and paper....

I made a tag with Japanese Tilda. I used a blue paper for the background to give the tag some contrast. I colored her with Copic markers and added a little Spica pen to the flowers. I used the Ivy Tendrils Memory Box Die and then stamped some tiny flowers on the vine. I used the netting on the side to create a fan effect. Then added some pearl bling and added some pink ribbon.

Thank you for stopping by! I appreciate all your "sweet" comments.

Tilda with Cozy Heart - Love is in the Air

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I had a wonderful weekend! I booked our vacation to Florida for a week to visit my son and his wife. And it is tough but they live right across from the ocean. Not too hard to take....Anyway...

Can you believe tomorrow is Valentine’s Day? Are you doing anything special with a loved one?

I made this Valentine with Tilda with Cozy Heart. She is just so adorable; I find it hard to resist using her. I colored her with Copic Markers E000, E00, E11, E25, E31, E41, E42, E43, E50, R00, R01, R20, R22, R32, W00, W01 and W03. I used my new Spellbinder Heart Circles for the center of the design. For the background I stamped the smaller circle with a balloon stamp. I cut Tilda out and mounted her on the center circles. I punched the tag, stamped it, added bling and used some pink & white twine and tied a bow. All the edges of the paper were inked with light pink Bazzill ink. To finish the card I added flowers and a few stickpins.

Here is a close up of Tilda.

Thanks for visiting and Happy Valentine’s Day.

Beautiful Butterfly

Wow tomorrow is Friday! I am so looking forward to the weekend so that I can do some major crafting.

My inspiration for the card came from the Memory Box Blog Blitz. I stamped the Memory Box Damask Butterfly with a brown ink. I used my Memory Box Vivieene Butterfly Die which I placed on top of the Damask Butterfly. The design of the stamp on the right side of the butterfly peeks through the die cut pieces. I used my Spellbinder Scalloped Circle as the background for the butterfly. I inked the edges with Distress Ink Antique Linen and a light pink Bazzil ink. The paper is some Memory Box paper I had in my stash. I could not find the name of it but it was one of my favorites. To finish the look I used the Tilda Buckle die from Poppy Stamps which I threaded the cream ribbon through.

Let me know what you think!

Won't You be My Valentine

Good Evening!

I felt very motivated tonight and created a card for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge – Animal Antics.

I haven’t used my House Mouse stamps in a very long time. This challenge gave me a good excuse to pull them out and use them.

I made a Valentine card using Love Bunny, Itty Bit, Hop It. This image is just too adorable. I colored the image with Prisma colored pencils. I used my Spellbinders to create the back ground for the image. The paper is from Echo Park –Yours Truly. To embellish the card I used Memory Box Sofia Die and from Poppy Stamps Tilda Buckle Die. These new dies are so awesome and I want them all! I added a Valentine sentiment and a little glitter on the ground to complete the card.

Wrapped Tilda A Valentine Wish

Hello,

I can’t believe it is Tuesday! We are having an extremely mild winter. I am not complaining I love it!!!!

I made a card with one of my new mini stamps. I have not colored many of these so I need some more practice. I used Wrapped Tilda a Christmas stamp transformed in a Valentine’s Day card.

I colored the image with Copic Markers then added a little white glitter to her bow. The background paper is from Memory Box. I used Magnolia Doohickey Tag die along with my Memory Box Sofia Heart die. I inked the edges with light pink ink from Bazzill. For the flower arrangement I added some glitter to give the flowers some sparkle. I finished the flower arrangement with
a beautiful net trim I bought a couple of weeks ago. Bling was added for the finishing touches and a little ribbon for the tag.

Here is a close up.

Inside the card I used the same paper and added the Sofia Heart. The sentiment and hearts were added to finish the card.

Snails Tails, Puppy Dog Tails What’s a Girl To Do

I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! Are you getting a lot of crafting done or are you a football fan? Either way it has been a great weekend.

I found these adorable wooden boxes at Michaels for 60 cents. I finally decided to make this little box for the tooth fairy. I painted the box with paint -Softened Violet then I used Antique Linen Distress Ink on the edges of the box to give it an antique look. The letters are covered with paper by So Sophie Graceful and the edges are also inked with the Antique Linen Distress Ink. On the top of the box I added three purple flowers and I used my Memory Box Tilda Buckle die and added some ribbon.

I have really taken a liking to the Magnolia animal stamps. They are just so adorable. For this project I used Rufus the dog and the snail. They are both colored with Copic markers. I used some flower wire for the antennas on the snails. I attached them to the sides of the box.

Inside the box I added lavender netting. The small envelope is for the tooth fairy. A note was created for the tooth fairy and a ribbon was attached to the top of the note.

The box will be going to a little girl who had just started getting her teeth!! Thanks for stopping by! I love all your comments and support.

A Snail's Pace; Won't You Be My Valentine

I find it challenging to make cards for guys. However, I bought the snail and thought it would make a nice Valentine for a guy. So here is what I came up with. I colored the image with Copic markers G21, G40, G94,G99, E25, W00. For the snail background and mount I used my spellbinders and popped the image. On the bottom and inside of the card I used MB dies Cherish Border and Twirled Heart. I just love the MB dies. They go perfectly with the Magnolia images. Lastly, I hand wrote my sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great Saturday!

Tilda Framed

Happy Wednesday,

I spent two days in Columbus, OH working at a conference. I have missed my crafting time. So I will have to make up for lost time this week. I used Tilda with Cozy Heart and decided to make this small frame colored image. I colored the image with Copic markers and cut out the image. I layered some of my paper from my stash and used one of my favorite MB dies Sofia Heart behind Tilda's head. I used popped dots to give some dimension to the framed piece. I added a little brown floss to finish the look. I have added two different photos of the finished project. Let me know what you think!
