Sun, Sea, Sand

Good Morning Magnolia Lovers,

I hope you will join us over at our new Magnolia Licious challenge - Sun, Sea, Sand. Summer is almost here - barbecues, camping, swimming, going to the beach and relaxing in the sunshine. Today I am sharing a special pocket letter that I made for my very special friend Kelly.  Last year we made altered trays together using the Seabreeze collection stamps and Pion paper Shoreline Treasures. Kelly lost her tray in a fire this year so I decided to make her a keepsake.

You can find the mini's from the Sea Breeze collection in Diana's Magnolia Licious store at the moment but she would be happy to order the regular sized Edwin Catching a Fish, Tilda on the Beach and Violet Tilda stamps.

Now for the winner of the pocket pal posted on my blog last week. My husband chose the winner......Karen from kaleidoscopicsparkles.

The great thing about the Pion paper is it come with different tags, borders and scenes which are great for making a pocket pal. It is hard to photograph them. I did you Volume 1 Summer Doohickey dies and a new Memory box ocean die.

A closer view of the pockets.

Here is the back side with the goodies. I still need to add a letter in the empty pocket.
Please join us for our challenge this week over at Magnolia Licious Pretty in Pink. You could be the lucky challenge winner and receive an awesome prize.

Remember for each comment you leave on a DT gal’s blog (1 comment per blog, per post) you get entered to win the Surprise Prize this week.  Winners are announced each Wednesday…so check back each week to see if you’ve won!

I am entering my project in the following challenges:
Come and Get It - Paper Piecing
Glitter n Sparkles -#140 Anything Goes
Scrappers Delight - Always Anything Goes
Brown Sugar - #149 Anything Goes

  2. Karen, this is spectacular... everything you create, be it a card, pocket pal, or 3D project, is filled with such beautiful details. I love this Pion collection (we are twins again this week in paper choice) and you've used it to perfection. Not only is the design gorgeous, but the reason behind it! I recall the trays you and Kelly made, as they were incredible. This keepsake will warm her heart. Stunning work from your beautiful heart! As soon as I can return to coloring (arm issues still linger), I will be playing along at Magnolia-Licious.

And I cannot believe I'm the lucky winner of your giveaway! Truly I cannot express how excited I am to soon own something made from your crafty heart. I adore that pocket pal and I will have it on display always... there's no better inspiration than a handmade project from someone whose work you admire. Thank you! :o) Have a sparkly day!

    Hugs and blessings,
    Karen
