Happy Anniversary
SSHHH! Next Tuesday my husband and I will be celebrating 31 years of marriage. I actually made his card early. He loves this cross so read below how I created his card.
I used Tim Holtz distress ink scattered straw, walnut stain, peeled paint and broken china as the background. The background is a stamp from Heartfelt Creations - Vintage Life Background PreCut Set embossed with distress embossing powder Shabby Shutters. The cross is from Northwoods Rubber Stamps, Inc. On the cross I used Perfect Pearls to give it an iridescent look.
Thanks for stopping by!

Edwin with Butterfly
Happy Monday! What a beautiful sunny day we had. Yesterday my girls bought me lots of beautiful flowers which I planted. They made our deck look like springtime beautiful. I hope all of you had a wonderful day too.
I made this card for a special guy. I used distress ink (scattered straw and dusty concord) for the back ground then I stamped Magnolia jam jar and added perfect pearls (forever violet, perfect gold and perfect bronze)to give that beautiful sparkle. I stamped, cut-out and popped Edwin on the top of the jar. Edwin was colored with Copics E000, E00, E11, E31, E25, E50, C00, C1, C3, B91, B95, B97, R20, YR20, YR21, B63, and BV20. On the butterfly I added a little Grape Soda Smooch and Spica pens - Sand & Lavendar. Lastly, I used my butterfly Martha Stewart Punch to add dimension to the butterflies I popped them with pop dots.
Thanks for visiting!

Mother's Day Tag
I decided instead of a card I would make a Mother's Day tag. I used Scattered Straw and Age Mahogany as the background for the tag. I then used a Memory Box stamp for the background and embossed it using distressed embossing powder. Then I colored the image with Copic markers E11, E00, E000, E25, E31, R20, R21, R22, and YR20. I cut the image out and used pop dots to give the tag some dimension. I added some bling to her headband.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there!

Mother's Day Card
Here is a card I did tonight. I used my Heartfelt Creations stamp Angel Trumpet Flower set. I used distress ink, distress embossing powders and Perfect Pearls. The frame is cut out from Heartfelt Creations Decorative Oval Window. I used Walnut Stain, Aged Mahogany and Scattered Straw Distress Ink. My camera did not want to take a good photo. LOL!
Happy May 1st
It has been awhile since I posted to my blog. Life just gets crazy sometime. So what have I been doing. Let's see in April I took an awesome class with Suzanne Dean, went to Florida to visit my son and his wife and this past weekend went to CKC.
Suzanne Dean's Copics class was alot of fun and I learned so much. Stayed tuned this week as I will be posting some of my work. Here is a photo of me, my friend Sandy and Suzanne Dean.
My long weekend with my family in Florida was awesome. We went canoeing on the river - saw Manatees, gators, turtles, and fish. Lots of time at the ocean and the pool. It was so great to spend quality time with my kids and husband. Here are some photos from our visit.
