Meet Grace

The week went by so quickly. Yesterday was an awesome day. I spent the day at the scrapbook convention and shopping with my friends. I purchased lots of goodies that I will be using soon on some of my cards & projects.

The other great thing about yesterday was that Grace joined our family. She is the cutest, sweetest, most loving puppy! Her two sisters aren't too sure about it but they have for the most part behaved themselves. She weighs 5lbs. and is so soft. My parents, sister and niece fell in love with her. Here are a couple of photos.

Now back to the card. I made this Criss Cross card with Traveling Tilda who is now a school girl. Here is what I used to the create the card.

Magnolia Stamp - Traveling Tilda
Basic Grey - Oxford Paper
Distress Ink - Gathered Twigs
Copic Markers
Tim Holtz Token
Lots of embellishments

Here is a close up of the card.

Will Tilda Get Her Prince

The card did not actually turn out as I had planned. Even the image is different. It has been one of those weeks. But tomorrow is Wednesday & Friday is the Scrapbook Convention and shopping with my scrap friends. I am so looking forward to Friday.

Oh and I can't forget Grace will meet her new family. It will be very interesting to see how my girls feel about another dog. Ok, enough rambling on to the card.

The inside & a close up of Tilda. Do you think Tilda will get her prince.

Here is what I used to create the Criss Cross card:

Magnolia Stamp - Tilda Catching Stars
Copic Markers
Gold Spica Pen
Bling
Flowers
Ribbon
To add dimension I used the DP and pop dots
Graphic 45 Once Upon a Spring Time Scrapbooking Paper
Piece of Chip Board for the tab
Gathered Twigs Distress Ink
I used Stickles on her crown & the stars

I will post more pictures at the end of the week after she arrives.

She inspired me to make this card for Midweek Magnolia's use two characters. I used a lot of my new goodies on this Criss Cross Card.

Enjoying Vacation

Happy Sunday,

Enjoying our vacation and spending time with my son & his wife. Let's see this morning we went to church and Bible study. Then off to the pool, walk on the beach, back to the pool, lunch and relax. What a life! However, I did bring my Copics and some images to color. Here are a couple that you can have a sneak preview before I make the cards and add a few details to the images.

I am very excited I was asked to make cards to sell at our large National conference for teachers in July. Yes, my cards are going to Las Vegas. So I need to get crafting...... Here is some stuff I bought the other day when we were on the south west coast. I got a lot of paper, flowers and some misc. items. I was so excited to find so many different flowers. The stores in my area do not carry these types of flowers, I could order them online but I like to see them. A week from Friday I am off to the scrapbook convention and shopping with my amazing craft friends. You can see my loot below.

A couple more days in paradise then back to reality.

Tilda with Baby Boy

Greetings from Florida,

Yes, enjoying warm sunny Florida and the beach. I love to search for seashells. I find it so relaxing and love to have my feet in the sand.
Enjoying my time with the kids. My daughter-in-law and I went to an awesome scrap store today. I will post my score tomorrow. How is your week going? Are you crafting? It' s been a great week my team at work won our team challenge and I won a day off with pay. And I won the random challenge at Midweek Magnolias. I told my husband we should buy a lottery ticket tomorrow. LOL!

I made this baby card/door hanger for Magnolia-licious Highlites challenge. I used Tilda with Baby Tingla and modify to make a baby boy. Sometimes you have to improvise. I used my spellbinders to create the banner "boy".

Here is my recipe for the card.

Magnolia Stamp Tilda with Baby Tingla
Sentiment from AMUSE
Paper from my stash
White Ric Rac
Blue/white & Green/White Twine
Two tags
Misc. Embellishments

Happy Easter Tilda Style

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! I am having a great weekend. My wonderful husband took me to breakfast, he vacuumed the house, then took me for coffee and a delicious piece of chocolate lemon cake from Burdicks. Burdicks is an awesome chocolatier. Boy was that yummy!!! I am very blessed to have such an awesome guy.

Tomorrow I am going to my mom's for dinner. I made this Easter card for her. Here is what I used to create:

Magnolia Stamp -Little Tilda Bunny & Honey Jar
Prim Poppy Memory Box Die
Jolees embellishments
Paper from my stash
Ribbon
Paper Dolie

In order to give the card the homespun style I used small squares to create a patchwork effect. The dolie for the lace, some ribbon and the honey jar. I used distress ink around all the edges to give a bit of vintage feel. The flowers were popped up using pop dots as was the bunny, jar and some of the eggs to give the card some added dimension.
