All that Flutters/Things with Wings

It's the end of June, where is the time going!

Come over and join us at Magnolia Licious for our new challenge "All that Flutters/Things with Wings." I created my garden theme project using a metal Prima birdhouse. I painted with white Gesso. The stamps are Kokechi Tilda, Sakura Tilda, and Geisha Tilda. The die cuts are from Magnolia Doo Hickey large butterfly, vintage dragon flies, fence and vine from the Oh La La Collection. To finish the birdhouse I used flowers, feathers, ribbon, trim, wooden embellishments, decorative pins, and moss.

The paper is from Pion. Below you can see each side of the birdhouse:

Inside of the house Geisha Tilda was colored with Copic Markers.

Close up of Sakura Tilda: she was colored with Copic markers and paper pieced.

Side of the house: I used a butterfly stencil with light texture paste then added bloom spray. The other butterflies are cut from the Pion paper.

Anything Goes

Happy Sunday!

I hope you will join us at Simply Magnolia for our "Anything Goes". Today I would like to share my altered canvas featuring Magnolia stamp Garden Tilda. She was colored with Copic markers and paper pieced her. The paper is from Pion - my favorite.

The embellishments I chose were Prima flowers, Kordt & Godt, cheese cloth, resin fairy, and birch heart. The 6x6 canvas was printed with a light yellow, edges were inked with distress ink and I added some white snow to the edges. The smaller 4x4 canvas is flat. I used modge podge to secure the background of and Tilda. The canvas was very fun to create. I hope I have inspired you this week to create something fabulous.

Sun, Sea, Sand

Good Morning Magnolia Lovers,

I hope you will join us over at our new Magnolia Licious challenge - Sun, Sea, Sand. Summer is almost here - barbecues, camping, swimming, going to the beach and relaxing in the sunshine. Today I am sharing a special pocket letter that I made for my very special friend Kelly.  Last year we made altered trays together using the Seabreeze collection stamps and Pion paper Shoreline Treasures. Kelly lost her tray in a fire this year so I decided to make her a keepsake.

You can find the mini's from the Sea Breeze collection in Diana's Magnolia Licious store at the moment but she would be happy to order the regular sized Edwin Catching a Fish, Tilda on the Beach and Violet Tilda stamps.

Now for the winner of the pocket pal posted on my blog last week. My husband chose the winner......Karen from kaleidoscopicsparkles.

The great thing about the Pion paper is it come with different tags, borders and scenes which are great for making a pocket pal. It is hard to photograph them. I did you Volume 1 Summer Doohickey dies and a new Memory box ocean die.

A closer view of the pockets.

Here is the back side with the goodies. I still need to add a letter in the empty pocket.

I would like to share my ice cream cone shaped card. I found this template on the internet. I printed the cone on kraft paper then used a light lavender card stock for the ice cream. I used some frantage on the ice cream and dripping down the cone. My images were paper pieced and colored with Copic Markers. The paper is from Pion.

Now let's see what you create!

Join us over at Magnolia Licious for our Pretty in Pink challenge. I am using Tilda Picking Carrots from the new Sakura collection. You can find her over in Diana's store click here.

I colored my sweet image with Copic Markers and paper pieced her. The paper is from Pion Paris Flea Market. I found this flower pot template on line. I stamp the background of the post with a seed stamp. I am using Petaloo and Prima flowers, die cuts from Magnolia Doo Hickey and Marianne.

I will be giving away this pocket pen pal below. All you have to do is leave me a comment and if you would become a follower that would be great. The drawing will be Tuesday, June 9th so be sure to check back and see if you are the lucky winner.
