Love is in the Air

What a beautiful sunny, mild day we are having for the end of January! Oh yes, and an amazing blue sky. Here is another Valentine card I made with this sweet lion stamp from Magnolia.

I colored the lion with Copic markers E15, R20, Y21, Y26, Y28, YR20, YR21, YR23, YR24, W00, W01, and W03. I used my new stamp L O V E and to add a little color I used Red Smooch. Attached them to a rectangle and popped them with pop dots. A heart punch was used to cut 3 hearts & I inked the edges with Grey Bazzil ink and popped them too. I added the sentiment “Love is in the Air”. I used my round scalloped Spellbinder for the background, inked the edges with the same ink and popped it to give the shape some dimension. The paper is from My Mind’s Eye “Love Me “Stamped” Paper”.

On the inside I traced & cut 3 hearts and used some of my Echo Park “Yours Truly” paper. I added 3 small hearts down the side of the paper to add some color and interest.

I hope you enjoy your weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving all your awesome comments.

Valentine Card - Tilda with Cozy Heart

I am working on some Valentine cards and couldn’t resist using some of my new goodies to create this card.

Here is a simple card made with Tilda with Cozy Heart. I colored her with Copic Markers. The paper is from Echo Park – Yours Truly. I add my new ribbon that I purchase this past weekend. I used a couple of Memory Box Dies - Sofia Heart and Cherish Border. I cut the Cherish Border into pieces and collaged the background. I took the outline of the Sofia Heart and cut a solid heart. Then took the solid heart and popped it up a bit over the Sofia Heart. To add a little bling to the background I used some pretty red pearl bling.

On the inside of the card I used the same paper as the front of the card. The tag is from my Magnolia Doohickey Tag die. I inked the edges with distress ink as I did with the hearts on the front of the card. Then I used red floss as a tie on the die.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your week!

Valentine Tin

Happy Sunday,

I am having a great weekend! Went shopping with my amazing crafting friends. We got a lot of goodies and enjoyed our day together. I hope you are all having the same kind of weekend. I got these cute little heart tins and decided to make a valentine ornament.

I used Tilda with Cozy Heart, she is just too cute. I colored her with Copics E000, E00, E11, E31, E35, YR20, R20, E41, E42, E43, E44, RV10, RV11, R20, R22, and R24. The ruffle on her dress has bee embellished with Frosted Lace Stickles. And she has a little bling for her cute little bows. I used some netting that I colored with Candy Apple Glimmer Mist and added this red velour ribbon as the hangar for the ornament. For the inside of the heart I used my new paper Echo Park called Yours Truly. I used my Memory Box Sofia Heart Die which I inked up with Festive Berries Distress Ink. To the heart die I added some black pearl candy and added pop dots to give the heart dimension.

Here is a picture of the inside of the heart.

Ballerina Tilda

Hello,

It was so nice having yesterday off however, today feels like Monday. And it feels like winter. My road was so icy tonight I had to leave my car down at the neighborhood barn. A very nice neighbor gave me a ride to my house. Then my wonderful husband picked up my car when he got home from his meeting. We live on a dirt road and I was amazed the first year how icy dirt actually gets. Anyway it did not deter my efforts to finish this sweet little Tilda card!!!

I can't stop making easel cards! Ballerina Tilda is so beautiful and graceful; I thought she would be perfect for this card. I colored Tilda with E000,E00,E11, E31,YR20, YR21, R20, R000, R00,R01, W00 and W01. I added a little glitter to her dress and tiara. To her tiara a pink bling heart now sits. I inked all the paper edges with a very light pink bazzil ink. I used some sparkly chic paper from my stash for the background and the hearts. I used my new die heart from Memory box. To finish the look I added lots of pearl bling, fancy stick pins and ribbon. The embellishment around the circle is a fancy old fashioned ribbon.

Here is a close up of Tilda.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day tomorrow.

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. And, did you craft the days away?

I created this sweet easel Valentine card using the Magnolia Elephant. I colored the elephant with Copic markers C00, C01, C03, R01, W00, W01 and W03. I used some paper from my stash; the stripped paper is from Wild Asparagus. The heart cut out on the card was created using my new die Twirled Heart Border from Memory Box. I added a couple of palm trees and some hearts to embellish the card. The sentiment was cut using spellbinders then popped to add dimension.

Thanks for stopping by.

Boy is it cold here today! This morning it was -14 degrees. BRRRRR!!!!!

I created this easel thank you card using the Hero Arts cling stamp Poppy Background. I used Broken China distress ink which was also used to ink the edges and for the sentiment. The paper is from Memory Box "Minuet". The ribbon was from my stash. I made the stacked button with some chip board and a clear button I had on hand covering them with the "Minuet" paper too. The sentiment is an AMUSE stamp.

Warm Winter Wishes - Tilda with Cross Stitch Heart

We finally have a little snow. I have to say I was enjoying the snowless winter…… But I guess it had to come sooner. Well on that note; I hope everyone is having a great Friday!

I made this easel card using my new Tilda with Cross Stitch Heart. She was colored with Copic Markers, E000, E00, E11, E42, E44, E50, E31, E35, YR20, YR12, YR15, R01, RV91, RV93, and RV95. I used some glitter on the trim of the hat and the tassel. To give the heart on her shirt a little glitz I used a silver glitter pen. The glitter pen was also used to create the polka dot pattern on her pants.

I used some of my older paper from my stash. The snowflakes were created with my Martha Stewart snowflake punch. I added the silver snowflakes to give them dimension. The snowflake border is from memory box and the snowflake charm is from Tim Holtz’s Christmas Charms.
Have a nice weekend!

Well Dressed Tilda

Happy Wednesday to All,

I have had a great day! It started by organizing my house. It always feels so good when everything is in order. Then I observed at a Pre-School. Oh those children are just so sweet. Then finally to work. But that only lasted an hour because of a propane odor. So I happily came home to finish my card.

This is my first attempt an easel card. Tilda was colored with Copic markers E000, E00, E11, E31, E35, YR20, R20, R81, R83, R85,and R89. I used some of my stash Magnolia paper for her dress and for her color white polka dot card stock. The back ground and front paper of the card is also from the Mag stash. I used a heart punch for the bouquet of hearts. Lastly, I added some bling and flowers. Oh yes, and glitter on her wings and border of her collar. Tilda is already for Valentine's Day!

Let me know what you think. Enjoy the rest of your afternoon!

Edwin with the Christmas Lantern

I can't believe how fast the weekend went. I got some cleaning and lots of cooking done. And of course I made some time for crafting. My husband bought me 7 new magnolia stamps for Christmas plus Santa Claus got me the Vagabond! So I had to use one of my new stamps.

I know Christmas is over but I couldn't resist using Edwin with the Christmas Lantern. I used a chipboard house to make a tree ornament. Edwin was colored with Copic Markers and I used paper for his sweater and hat to add some dimension. I used Memory Box Yuletide Paper and the Snowflake border & Window die. The inside of the window is paper from a Christmas Martha Stewart pack. I painted the window with Creme de Cocoa Glimmer Mist. The edges of the house and window were inked with Iced Spruce Distress Ink. I added snowflakes using a Martha Stewart snowflake punch. To finish off the look I added light iced blue pearls and the Tim Holtz Holiday Muse Token. Aqua velvet ribbon was added to hang the ornament.

I added Merry Christmas to the back using felt letters that I colored with Copic and I added a snowflake too.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

J is for Jungle

Hello all my crafty friends,

I hope your week is going well. After having two weeks off entry back to the work force has been a challenge. I miss walking on the beach and lounging in the sun. Now I am freezing. But it is nice to back in my craft room.

I bought this wooden "J" at Michaels some time ago and I finally decided to use it. So here is what I came up with. I covered the "J" with Polka Dot paper from Memory Box. Debuting on the letter are Gloria the Hippo and the Elephant from Magnolia. I colored them with Copic markers C00, C01, C03, W00, W01, W03, RV000, RV10, YG63, and YG67. I colored the flowers with Violet Glimmer Mist and Forest Green for the leaves. Then for the finishing touches some pearl bling.

Here is a close up of each image.

Gloria the Hippo

Hello,

This is my first post of 2012. I made the card for a sweet little girls first birthday. I used Gloria the Hippo and the January 1st stamps. The image was colored with Copic markers C00, C01, C03, C05, C07, G0000, G00, R20 and R22. The background was created with Labels Ten Spellbinders. I added some pink & green baker's twine. The edges were inked with a light pink from Bazzinks. The flowers were spritz'd with Creme de Rouge Glimmer Mist. As the finishing touches star bling was added.

The inside of the card has the January 1st stamp and I used a star stamp as the background design. January 1st is the little girl's actual birth date. The paper used for the card is from SEI- Happy Day. I thought the print of the Happy Birthday Sentiment went well with Gloria.

Happy Birthday sweet Juliette!

Thanks for stopping by.
