Say it with Flowers

Happy Wednesday,

I can't believe my little grandson is going to be a year old on Friday. I can't wait to celebrate his special day with him.

I hope you will join us over at Midweek Magnolias for our new challenge "Say it with Flowers". I chose to create tag with Gift from Heaven Tilda. I colored her with Copic Markers. I used Magnolia Heart & Dragon Fly, Susan Wilson leaves, and Go Create dies. To finish my tag I used ribbon, flowers and lace.

See you soon!

Mixed Media Canvas

Happy Saturday,

What another gorgeous day in paradise. I started this canvas about 3 weeks ago and it has gone through several renditions before I was happy with the way it looked.

I painted the canvas with heavy black Gesso. Used molding pasted and Prima acrylic paint to create a portion of my background. Have you used the Prima foils yet, you should try them. That is how I added that glitzy gold in the background. To take the edge off the black I sprayed my canvas with gold and white Prima spray. I chose Julie Nutting's Ruby for my design, I paper pieced her and some beautiful jewelry, she has sparkly tights and shiny shoes. I chose her paper Belle Vie (just love this paper). The butterflies were cut from a Cheery Lynn Butterfly dies. I used Prima flowers, metals and stickers.

Happy Friday

It is a beautiful day here in Florida. Sunny, warm and I can hear the birds chirping.

Next week I see my grandson for his 1st birthday. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Then a couple weeks after that they move in for about 4 months. It will be great to spend all that time with them. However, I will be very sad when they leave. But with visiting and technology I can see him just about anytime I want.

I would like to share a card to day that I made for a very special person. I used Pion paper my Precious Daughter and Paris Flea Market. I can't wait to get the new collection Scents of Lavender.  I chose die cuts from Little Darlings, Memory Box, Cheery Lynn and Magnolia Doohickey.  The flowers are from Kort & Godt, WOC, Pomegranate berries from LLC and Prima. I added some lace, thin strand of pearls around the photo and some tulle. The beautiful stick pin was made by my friend Sandy while she was visiting.

Guest Designer for Crafting by Design

I am so honored to be a guest designer for Crafting by Design.

I created this book using Prima products. I love playing with the paper dolls. I created this book using the paper from "Tales of You and Me" and embellishments. I chose the following dolls and paper piece them with the coordinating paper - Phoebe, Mia, Keira, and Riley  The dies I used were dress form by La La Land, birdcage and perfume bottle from Magnolia Doohickey, Cheery Lynn butterfly and flourish dies. The beautiful heart in the center was with Prima rub ons and foil. I used a Prima stencil with light paste and mixed with mica powder.
