Honey Tilda

Did everyone have a great weekend? I did but I have to say I think I had too much ice cream. But it is so delicious who can resist. We also have a ton of blackberry bushes and now we have a ton of berries. Good for freezing and I can see a blackberry cobbler on the horizon.

I so enjoyed making this card! The colors are just so bright and soothing. I added a lot of fun elements to bring interest to the design. At the moment I have an addiction for liquid pearls.

Here is a close-up of this sweet Tilda.

Tilda with Ballet Shoes

I am back from Chicago and ready to craft the week away. I had a great morning with my husband and a delicious breakfast. It's a rainy Saturday, however we need the rain.  Oh very exciting news, I should have some better quality photos next week. For my birthday my husband got me a tripod and a photo box. I am sooooo excited!!!!

The image Tilda with Ballet Shoes is just too cute. I love her dress. Adding the pearls to the bottom was quite a challenge especially when you want the to flow a certain way. The technique for the Tilda's Town Challenge is Dies.

Some Licious Candy!

I hope everyone is having a good week! I am in Chicago for another day. It has been a long week but a fun one! Fun to visit however, I would not want to live in a city. This photo is from the window of my room on the 43rd floor. I won't go to near the window because I am afraid of heights.  Yikes!!!

Tilda or Mathematician

Well it has been an interesting day! I am in Chicago on business this week. This evening we went out to dinner and one of the woman in our group got her purse stolen. The scary thing is we were in a restaurant and it was taken off her chair while we were all sitting there and none of us saw the person take it. According to the restaurant this happens all the time. Doesn't make you feel warm and fuzzy. Needless to say our evening was not what we had planned.

I made this easel card with Wizard Tilda as a Mathematician. I have to say this stamp is very versatile and so adorable.

Fairy Tale Tilda Sprinkles Some Blog Candy

I started this card for a challenge wings & bling and it morphed into not a rectangle or square and lastly Elegance. It is amazing how you imagine your project's outcome then it takes on a whole new look. Well that is what happened to this sweet little Tilda.  Lastly, I am  on glitter frenzy so I couldn’t help but add this luscious purple sparkle to her wings. The shape of the card was created with a chipboard flower which I used to created the front of the card and the base.

Tilda Says Your the Bees Knees and DT Call

Good Evening,

I don't usually post twice in one day however, I am so excited about applying for a DT call over at  Inky Impressions!  I had a great time making this card. As you can see Tilda is really stylin' and all ready for some summer fun! I chose to make an easel card.

I  used stitching around the base of my card; I chose a floss that would compliment the DP.  To complete the look of Tilda's beanie I added Perfect Pearls. I also used them on the lace of  honey jar to create some interest and depth. Her wings, antennas and black stripes all were finished with glitter. I used Sunflower Glimmer Mist on the chipboard butterfly. And this was my first time using cheesecloth; I really liked the finished look.

Now for organizing these precious stamps. I purchased 1-inch Martha Stewart Binders with the plastic inserts at Staples. The inserts work perfect they have a smaller size too which are perfect for the minis (4 to a page). They also had brown or red binders.  Then I went on-line to different websites and moved the pictures of each image into a word doc, formatted the page, printed and put the collection and the name of the stamp under each image. Lastly, I organized them by collection. It works wonderfully no more rummaging through boxes. I hope this helps! If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me.

Wizard Tilda

Happy 4th of July! We actually watched fire works last night. They were so pretty. Today was pretty laid back. I cleaned my craft room which took all day. Once you start you get into every nook & cranny. Plus I organized all my Magnolias in binders and printed the images with names and collection. That was quite a project. Need to buy more supplies tomorrow. In Staples I found some awesome Martha Stewart binders with protectors. I will post a sample this week.

I hope you all had a wonderful day!

Wizard Tilda is teaching Math today. This stamp is so versatile. I can't wait to use all my new stamps. Hopefully, I'll have one to post on Friday.

Edwin all Red, White & Blue

Happy Sunday to all my blogger friends,

Is everyone having a good weekend? Mine has been very good and perfect weather. We had another party for my son yesterday; it was a really fun time. However, I am trying to be good about it but I am very sad as he is moving to Idaho Falls on Tuesday. Another one thousands of miles away. My friends keep telling me just think another place to vacation.....

I made this darling Edwin card last night. I used paper from Authentique - Glory (love it) and I cut tags to add dimension and interest to the card. How handsome and patriotic does Edwin look? As we would say at work when we program and have a session that covers more than one topic in that session a twofer or threefer; well this is a threefer. It is for two challenges and Vegas!!!! And yahoo all those cards are finished, boxed and ready to go. Now I can play with all my new stamps.

Here is a close-up of this handsome guy!

And here is the recipe:
Magnolia Stamp - Graduation Edwin
Copic Markers
Bling
Floss
Ribbon
Spellbinders
Paper - Authentique - Glory

Happy 4th of July!
