A Little Bit of Paris

TGIF! Did you all have a great week? This is my 2nd post for 7 Kids College Fund Store Blog. I am very excited to share a Distress Ink Technique with you today that I used to create my card.

Here is the technique I used to create my center image. Ink the paper with Distress Ink using an Ink Blending Tool. Dry with a heat tool. Stamp your image with Distress Ink. I used Papillon Stamper Anonymous from the Tim Holtz Collection. Dust with Perfect Pearls which sticks to the stamped image and gives the vintage, shimmery look. Set with water in Mister.

If you have never tried liquid scrap dots I highly recommend them especially if you like to pop features on your card. I used it on my die cut butterfly which created dimension to the element. I hope I have inspired you today to try this technique. Have a wonderful weekend!

I hope you are all having a good week! It is extremely mild here this week and our snow is melting. But I am sure winter is not over....

This week I moved into a larger space for my crafting. My husband was so kind and switched rooms with me. It looks wonderful and everything is organized at the moment. Which I am sure you all know will change... I don't know about you but I really get messy when I am working.

My card today is a postcard from Tilda to Edwin. I thought "Puppy Love" was the perfect title for my post.  Below is a close up of my card and the back of the post card.

Birthday Tag

Happy Thursday,

I hope your week is going well. Today I made this simple tag. I used my Spellbinders to cut out the tag.

Here are the steps I used to create the bottom layer of my tag:
1. I used the Distress Ink to cover the paper (it kind of looks tied died).
2. Heat dry tag.
3. Stamp tag with Distress Ink.
4. Dust on Perfect Pearls Powder. Clean off excess powder.
5. Mist light with water.
6. Heat dry tag.

I used Inky Impressions Stamp Zoe's Birthday Cupcake. I love dogs so this stamp makes my heart smile. I colored Zoe with Copic Makers E44, E43, E42, E41, R20, B91, B93, YG93. Y00, R81, R83. I added a little glitter to her hat to add a festive flair. Add some ribbon and a sentiment and there you have it a festive birthday tag! I hope I have given you some inspiration today to try a new technique. Below is a photo some of the supplies I used. Have a great rest of your week!

Music to My Ears

Good Morning,

I hope you all had a good Christmas and a great New Year's Eve! It is freezing here. Yesterday morning when I went to work it was -6. Much too cold especially after spending over a week in Florida. I am ready for spring but unfortunately winter has just begun...

Good Morning and Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I was very lucky that I was able to spend Christmas in Florida with my son and his wife. We had beautiful weather, sunshine and lots of laughs. But now it is back to reality snow, cold and work. LOL!

White on White

Good Morning,

I have some very exciting news to share with you today. I am so thrilled and honored to be part of the 7 Kids College Fund DT. I was so excited when Carisa contacted me and of course I said yes. Today is my first post and our challenge is White on White. 

A perfect scene for the Epiphany which occurs this Sunday. The images are from the Magnolia Nativity Collection. The grey images against all the white create an essence of elegance. I thought a silver frame was a perfect finish for the scene I created.
