I hope everyone is having a great week! I am really loving this Florida weather. It is hard to believe it is almost the middle of November. I hope you will join us over at Midweek Magnolia's challenge "Flourishes".

I have decided to decorate my sitting room for Christmas shabby chic - ocean theme.  My son and his wife have been buying me a sea theme ornament for Christmas and I found a white flocked twig Christmas tree that would be perfect.

I found this star shaped box at Hobby Lobby and wasn't quite sure what I would created. Then I found these beautiful large starfish. Thus decided this would be perfect for my ocean theme.  Below I have given the steps I used to create my box.

I painted the box with Gesso, applied Tim Holtz tissue paper with Modge Podge. Once this was dry I sponged the edges of the star with Prima Bloom Spray - Gold Foil, Pressed Petal and Glistening Waves then I glued the floral trim. The box cover, tag, bottom of the box were sprayed with the Gold Foil spray. The starfish was sprayed with Glistening Waves. I used Magnolia Doohickey poinsettia dies and Cherry Lynn large and small flourish. The stamp is Tilda with Candle from Magnolia. I colored her with Copic Markers, used some shabby white frantage to give her a little sparkle and on her flower band I used Perfect Pearls for the center of the flower. I used Prima wooden embellishments and painted them Viva Decor Gold paint. To complete my design I added pearl bling, netting, tulle, raffia.

A Christmas Tag

Another beautiful day in paradise. It is so wonderful to spend time with our kids. I feel blessed to have the time to spend with them.

Today I have made a Christmas tag. I just love these new Christmas Magnolia stamps. I invite you to join us at Simply Magnolia for our challenge "Bling it On"!

In order to create a fancy fold on the back of the tag I used my score pal on the left side to create an open door for my sentiment. There are also windows and doors that open. For the front door when it open there is a red heart.

Witch Tilda

It's Saturday and another gorgeous day in Florida. I can't believe it is November 1st. So excited I get to spend the weekend with both of my boys. My youngest from Idaho is visiting us this week. Love it.

I used Witch Tilda on my project. I used a chipboard pumpkin and covered it with paper. Next I used embossing paste with Tim Holtz's Shattered stencil. To give some color I used Prima sprays gold and tattered leather. I paper pieced Tilda and the hat. I chose some Graphic 45 Paper, flowers, cheese cloth, Memory Box Spider Web die, tulle, and misc. embellishments.

I hope everyone is having a great week! I can say all this sunshine is so awesome; I absolutely love it. I will show a sneak preview of my new room. The unveiling will be around November 20th once my shutters are installed. The photos are below.

Now on to my card for our Midweek Magnolia's challenge glitter/lace/pearls. I chose Tilda in the Garden - how sweet is she? I colored her with Copic Markers. The dies I chose for my design were Go Create, La La Land Heart Banner, Magnolia Doo Hickey Heart Tag, Cherry Lynn Flourish and Butterfly dies. The floral paper is from Magnolia's Animal Collection, stripped blue paper is from Pion and the rest is from my stash. To embellish my card I used vintage white frantage, flower, pearls, tulle, lace and I inked the edges of the paper with pale blue Prima chalk ink.

Christmas in October

Happy Sunday,

I  can't believe we have been in our new house for two weeks! Crafting is still a bit of a challenge. My husband is painting and installing a wood floor. The bulk of it should be done tomorrow. I can't wait to move into my beautiful space. As soon as it is finished I will post photos.

Midweek Magnolia's 100th Celebration

I am so excited to be back! We are officially Florida residents. Our new house is great. Still more to do. My husband is too sweet. He is painting my craft room pink and laying down a wood floor. As soon as it is complete I will post some photos.

Needless to say my scrapping is a little scattered. I hope you will join us this week for our 100th Blog Celebration.  We have lots of great prizes and several of the DT are giving away candy.  Don't forget to leave me a comment for a chance to win my candy.

I used a canvas heart which I stenciled with light modeling paste and the I used Bloom Sprays to add color to the heart.  I chose various stamps for the background and of course the main star is Bonny Tilda. I colored her with Copic Markers and used Frantage on her wings and on the canvas. The canvas was embellished with flowers, lace, decorative pins, metal key and tulle bow. The paper is from pion.

How Sweet

Happy Wednesday!

I am so excited to be back crafting. In the last four months we got our house ready to sell, sold our house and bought another home in Florida. I just love the weather. My craft room is in as bit of disarray. 

I am hoping in a couple of weeks to have some photos of my newly designed craft room. Can't wait!
